Your First Triathlon

UPDATE MARCH 3rd 2014:  Our 0-60 program for 2014 is well underway - we're already almost half way through - so we are not taking any more sign-ups for the whole program.  However, if you are interested in joining us to train for an Olympic distance tri, you still have lots of opportunities.
1) All of our weekend group workouts are open to general members of SF Tri Club.  You'll find these posted each week on our calendar at http://calendar.sftriclub.org/
2) If you'd like to join our Tuesday evening track workouts, you can do so as a general member of the club.  We have two passes available, one that runs until the end of April for $75 or one that runs until the end of September for $130.  More details are available on our track page: http://www.sftriclub.org/run
3) Our triathlon-specific spin classes are open for drop-ins between now and the end of April (when a new 3 month session will commence).  Each week, drop-in availability is posted to our spin page on Eventbrite where you can purchase a drop-in pass for the class you want: http://www.eventbrite.com/e/series-1-spin-drop-ins-tickets-10403933445

See you out there.

0-60 Program
The 0-60 program helps you transform your basic swim, bike and run skills into race results. This 13-week program provides the training schedule, club support and mentorship you need to complete your first Olympic distance triathlon (1.5k swim, 40k bike, and 10k run). The program begins the first week in February with the goal race of Wildflower Olympic course at the beginning of May.

The program includes:
  • 1-year SF Tri Club membership
  • 13-week training schedule with guidance on midweek and weekend workouts
  • 3-month pass to our coached track practice on Tuesday nights at Kezar Stadium
  • 3-month pass for our coached, triathlon-specific spin classes on either Wednesday or Thursday nights at Club One Yerba Buena
  • Weekly group bike rides with fellow 0-60'ers, led by seasoned club members
  • Clinics and coached practices to help you improve your swimming, biking, running and transition skills including:
    • open water swimming clinic
    • transition clinic
    • bike handling clinic
    • flat tire clinic
  • A no-pressure mini-triathlon to practice all of your new skills
  • Access to all other tri club events, workouts, and community activities.
  • Camaraderie with like-minded athletes working towards the same goal
  • Mentorship of experienced triathletes
  • Social gatherings to get to know fellow members out of their spandex
Not included:
  • Entry fees for Wildflower or other races.  You will need to sign up for whatever race(s) you choose to do directly with the organizers of those races.

2013 Program price:

  • $315 with a 1-year club membership
  • $250 if you are already a member of the club

Please note: 0-60 is a beginning training program, but we expect that participants have a basic level of swimming, biking and running. We offer clinics that will help you greatly improve all three events, but the program does not teach you how to swim or ride a bike. Club members lead the programs, not certified coaches.
