COVID-19 Guidelines for Club Workouts


Dear Triathlon Family,

After much discussion and deliberation we have come up with the following guidelines for easing back into group workouts. As San Francisco’s (city, county, and Tri Club) guidelines are changing daily please keep yourself informed of what is currently permitted.

Anyone who leads or participates in any in-person activity posted on the calendar should adhere to the latest guidelines. If you take the initiative to post an activity, please ask those who join your workout to follow them. You also must be responsible for not exceeding the maximum allowed number of attendees according to current guidelines.

Following current SF regulations, a maximum of 12 individuals can participate in outdoor group swims, rides, and runs, including the leader or coach of the activity. During each activity, participants are required to wear a mask (except when swimming) if they are within 30 feet of another individual. Social distancing of 6 feet is also still required when resting. 

In order to attend any SF Tri Club events (including track when it resumes), you must reserve your spot on the calendar. No plus ones are permitted at this time. By RSVPing, you are acknowledging that you have read current guidelines and that you are adhering to them. The first 11 people to RSVP plus the poster will be permitted to attend the activity. If you need to cancel your RSVP, please do it as early as possible to open your spot up to the next club member on the calendar list. If you or anyone in your household has any symptoms of illness, please do not attend. 

Finally, San Francisco Triathlon Club is not responsible for any person who may contract COVID-19 on any group workout.
